Property taxes help fund essential services and infrastructure in the Rural Municipality of Griffin, including road maintenance, emergency services, waste management, and community programs. This page provides information on tax rates, due dates, and payment options.
Property Taxes
Each year, property owners in the RM of Griffin receive a Tax Notice, which includes:

Municipal Taxes – Used to fund local services, roads, and municipal operations.

Education Property Taxes – Collected on behalf of the provincial government for schools.

Other Levies – May include special charges for services like local improvement projects.
Tax notices are mailed out in July, and payment is due by December 31st of the current year. Discounts on municipal taxes are offered in August, September, October and November. Late payments may be subject to penalties.
Payment Options
We offer several convenient ways to pay your taxes:

In-Person: Visit the RM Office during business hours to pay by cash, cheque or money order.

Mail: Send a cheque payable to "Rural Municipality of Griffin".

E-Transfer: rm66@sasktel.net (Autodeposit) We request that the memo portion be filled out stating who you are and what you are paying.
Note: Please allow time for processing when paying e-transfer or by mail.
Tax Certificates & Receipts
